International sponsor the third season of the CBF League With
the sum of Le 45,000,000.00.

Chairman Of Mercury
International Mr. Samir Hassanyeh handed over the cheque of the
said amount to Mr Tim Kellow Ceo of the CBF Foundation.
Its unique model of using children's love of football to
increase school attendance and develop their communities is
generating a great deal of attention and high-profile support
as thousands of fans flock to see the children in action across
the country. Tim Kellow, the foundation's CEO, underlined his
pleasure at the level of interest, "we're delighted that so many
companies want to support teams in our league, they've heard of
our model and the impacts we've achieved and are keen to align
their brand with ours.
Mercury
International were one of the first companies to pledge their
support to this unique league
by sponsoring four teams, one in each of the four regions that
CBF operates. In Makeni, High Table FC; in Kenema, Fatsam FC; in
Bo, Getwise United; and in Freetown, Young Fisher Stars.

confirmed the sponsorship saying "what really impresses us is
the continued commitment of CBF to go beyond football and ensure
that the young people of this country are attending school and
actively engaging with the development of their communities.

programme, underlining our long term commitment to education in
Sierra Leone". Mercury's sponsorship is enough to provide 160
children with school scholarships whilst also funding each
team's costs for the season.
CBF matches
take place on alternative Saturdays with community development
projects taking place in the weeks in between. The next match
days will be on February 4th at the following locations in
Freetown; Approved School Field, Kingtom Field, Parade Ground,
Foureh Bay and Stadium Practice Fields. In Makeni; Bishop
Comforti and Pastoral Centre Fields, in Bo; New Police Barracks
and Pastoral Centre fields and in Kenema; KDC and Islamic
Fields.

for his grace, favor and his presence in bring this project to

remarks. |

attend a tournament of retired football player in West Africa
which took place in Mali Bamako. |
| Five Countries Participated which were: The Gambia, Senegal,
Guinea Conakry, Mali , and our very own Sierra Leone. |

| The retired Football Heroes of Sierra Leone hosted the last
tournament her in Sierra Leone. |
| An Opening speech was given by the Director Chief Bia Kabia
expressing the details of there trip and adventures they had on
route to Mali. He also express his thanks to the Management of

| The chairman of the group Mr. Omar Din-Sesay also commended
his team mates and members of the Group for there hard work and
committement thought out the tournament where Sierra Leone
emerged as the runners up with a silver medal and trophy after a
1-0 defeat to Mali the the last minutes of overtime. |

former defender of the Sierra Leone female football team
expressed the groups thanks and appreciation to the

in the up coming Tournament for 2012 which will be held in
