Scrap Metal Hurdler wins Nle 250,000 Mercury Lotto draw
A Sierra Leonean scrap metal hurdler, Idrissa Kamara, who lives in Freetown, has beaten the odds and won NLe 250,000 from the Nap 5+ in the Mercury Kakau Mid-day lottery draw.
38-year-old Kamara placed a little sum of Nle 50 as a stake on five numbers 24-42-14-41-65, which provided the winning that saw him walk away with a bumpy sum of Two Hundred and Fifty Million Old Leones.
The lucky Kamara admitted that his win came as a surprise, and it was his first ever biggest win in Mercury lottery games.
” It is a dream come true for me, and I felt so happy, for what I consider to be a victory,” he said, adding that the reality in the game is unchallenged.
“This is a game someone should never give up on, and I advise everyone to play responsibly and be consistent,”.
Kamara vowed to utilise the winnings in a better and reasonable way by developing his plot of land and utilising some of the funds towards his business.
In October 2024, one Mohamed Mansaray won NLe 390,000 from the Nap 4+ and Daily Mercury lottery draw.
Mansaray participated in two different draws. In the Nap 4+ draw, he placed a bet of NLe 20 and won NLe 300,000. In the daily draw, he bet NLe 10 and won NLe 90,000. His total winnings amounted to an impressive NLe 390,000.
