Mercury International Donates Le 500 Million to Aid Govt. In Fight Against COVID-19

In a bid to support the Government of Sierra Leone in the fight against COVID-19, Sierra Leone's leading Sports Betting and Lottery Company, Mercury International has donated Le 500 Million to the Government of Sierra Leone as it's support in the fight against Coronavirus in the country.
"The Board feels that this is a fight that requires all Sierra Leoneans to come together", a statement from management reads.

The said amount which was transferred to the COVID-19 Account at the Bank of Sierra Leone is an additional support from the Company, who recently purchased over Le 50 Million worth of face masks that were distributed to communities, Bike Riders aka 'Okada Riders', Market Women and also vulnerable groups amongst others.

The Company also ensured that all its staff, retailers and their immediate families were provided with face masks.

Managing Director, Martin Michael Esq said: "In as much as we have lost business due to the cancellation of football leagues around Europe, we have tried our best to keep our staff on a full-time basis and have ensured that payment to all our staff, customers and suppliers are made in full.
We have dug deep to get this money together to make this contribution. The Board feels that this is a fight that requires all Sierra Leoneans to come together."

The country's leading Sports Betting and Lottery Company pledges it's continued support and assistance to the Government and advised Sierra Leoneans to always practice good hygiene, maintain safe distance and wear face masks and if possible to stay at home.
