Mercury International Staff and Retailers Charitable Foundation Extends Monthly its goodwill to the Wilkinson Road UN Drive community

On 17th of January 2025, Mercury International Staff and Retailers Charitable Foundation donated food items worth twelve thousand leones (Le12,000) to the residents of Wilkinson Road, UN Drive community, West End of the capital.

Presenting the food items to the Community people, Yanshim Ibrahim Yansaneh – Website Operator, leader of the delegation, said, they were in the community to perform a simple but essential task delegated to them by management, as over the years Mercury has been and still does honour its CSR obligations/responsibilities and by extension contribute to development and nation building.

He further stated that similar donations to different communities across the country have been made. It’s with great humility that they did the same for the residents of Wilkinson Road, UN Drive community.

“Please receive these food items as a tiny gesture from our institution. We at Mercury International believe in giving back to the rest of society whether customers or non-customers,” he said.

Receiving the food items, Mr Albert, the community coordinator, thanked Mercury International Staff and Retailers Charitable Foundation for their goodwill to his community, as this meant a lot considering the global inflation of prices of foodstuffs especially.

Pa Abu, the community headman said that they have been hearing about the good deeds of Mercury International and were hopeful that someday his community might benefit from such goodwill.

“Today we pray for every shareholder, management, staff, and retailer of Mercury International, may the company thrive through all challenges and be in existence forever,” he said

The donated items included; 4 Bags of rice, 2 bags of onions, 3 bags of salt, 1 pct of Ovaltine, 5 pct of tea bags, 1 box of margarine, 4 rubbers of 1 Gallon cooking oil, 2 gross of sugar, etc.

Mercury International Staff and Retailers Charitable Foundation delegation also included Yanshim Ibrahim Yansaneh of the Public Relations department, B.J of the Housekeeping department and Veenon of VRC.
